Those are some good pics Drag. I need to take some pics with a GCS wheel with a steel inner too. We may need to do a 3/8" or 1/2" spacer between the 2 wheels just to be safe. I'm thinking my truck needs to be lowered or run 275/45/22s with a spacer. Of course, we'll have to make the hub flange on the adapter taller by the same amount the spacer is thick.
Thanks Campy about the K-Whopper. Can you actually believe that employees at one of our customer's locations were asking why is that truck so long?

I ran a 5/16" spacer on mine with the 16"s to help space them out some.

Did you tell them it was to make up for your small penir?

With 16" inners you cannot run a tire with a section width wider than 265(10.43"). 305s(12.01") and 285s(11.22") on the Townasty wheel will not fit at all with any type of spacer on the 16 or a regular 22. The section widths are too wide for the widths of the two wheels.

No Husker, that's not my truck. What is a "penir". "DEE DE DEE" as Carlos Mencia would say.

Lock, why can't you run a spacer between the wheels? I realize the stud on the adapter has to be longer and the hub flange needs to be taller.

It would be easier to mill 3/8"-1/2" off the face of each standard wheel. That would knock an 1" off the overall width but still fit the larger tires. I would think that that would be alot safer than an adapter and a spacer on a heavy duty truck.
