2001 Ranger Headlight conversion?

So i did the conversion and I dont like how they look from the top view. They stick out a good 1/2 inch. Has anyone got theres to look somewhat flush with the grill and side markers? Id like to shave my corners also

They are flush with the corner lamps. only stick past the grille about 3/16". Sorry don't have any close ups.

Which Ranger lights are you using. I know some of the lights have a different shape / contour. I would like to do this to my Mazda. Super clean looking.

my cousin did his mazda and all he did was cut the grille and they mounted flush, im not sure the year of light he used but they looked just like those
