Surprisingly Police Officers can be mini truckers as well and I am one of those rare examples. I am a member of a local police organization called Operation Open Heart. Operation Open Heart was formed in 1962 by David Harper, who was a State Highway Patrolman in Ohio. Dave, being an orphan himself, wanted to show these children, who were placed in the court system, that Policemen were their friends, and not someone to fear. So with a few of his friends, Dave took about 15 kids on an all-day picnic.
Dave and his friends all pitched in to furnish all the food and goodies for the day. As the years went by, there were more kids then adults. So, Dave asked a few concerned citizens to help. The all-day picnic then turned into an overnight campout.
Now, the campout is a weeklong. We have over 80 members on our roster. These kids are treated to Air Plane rides, Boat rides, Putt-Putt, and on one night of the campout, all the members families come down to the campsite, for an evening of fun, and at dark all are treated to a huge Fireworks Show. Our program does not end with the campout. This year is our 50th anniversary and I have decided to build an old school police car to drive around in our parades to take the kids to different events throughout the week. Of course I am putting my mini trucker side into it as it will be bagged and linked with a simple flat blat and white door paint job. The campout is the last full week of July, so more build pictures will be coming soon.

if anyone knows where I can get some trim pieces for this thing without breaking the bank would you let me know, I really do not have the time to shave all them holes up

you might check with Ryan over at the JalopyJournal to see if you can post a thread to help get some trim & other needed parts for the build since its for a good cause

I actually started a build thread over there the about a week ago, no replies. I pulled the front suspension off and am giving the knucles to a friend of mine. He is building a set of drop spindles for it using charger brakes
