Henry new trend maybe but there are not very many of the California beds left around and most of the guys that have them want a grip for them.

Tom the California Step Sides was a company that made C 10 Chevy Beds back in the 70s and early 80s. What they did was copied exactly the look of a C10 bed but down sized it to fit Minis. I have heard they only built them from 1979 to 1983 and they only built around 300 of them which makes them real rare. What makes them different the Step is removable and the fender was not molded like the LUV truck Plus they were a little wider. When Chevy started making them for the LUV California Step Side quit making them. It is like the newer beds they do for Toyota's and S10s they have the molded step and fender just not a real looking Step Side in my opinion.
