Toyota people, I have questions. Help please.

I would like to know if any of you out there could help with a question. I have just got a hold of a 1990 Toyota SB truck. It lays frame hard! I need to put some wheels on the girl. What offset would tuck up in the fenders nice? I am looking at a 17x9 with a +24 or a +40 offset. Would these measurements work? I don't want to get the wheels home and have them not tuck.

+40 to 42mm offset,9in. is wide for a 17,I'd go with a 7.5-8in. width if possible.
