to shave or not to shave the chrome on my 65 chevy short bed

i am getting ready to start on my project. i can't decide if i should shave the side chrome or keep it on. what do you guys think?

I have seen those trucks look good either way. Do you wanna go wild with it or just a mild build? I also have a ton of resto parts for that truck if you need any.

I'd keep the trim if it's not gonna be wild then. I do like the look of Mark Barbee's blue '63 with no chrome though. I have bumpers, door handles, mirrors, lights and all kinds of other parts to make it pretty. email me at purpl7duece@yahoo and we can talk more.
