keeping stock fuel gauge on b2200 with fuel cell

Ok I have a 12 gallon fuel cell and I'm gettin tired of popping the cap off to check my fuel has anybody done this and kept the stock guage I can get a universal sending unit but not sure on the ohm reading from the old sending unit

From a local Mazda dealer:
Full 7 ohms
Half 32.5 ohms
Empty 95 ohms

If you use a GM sender the factory gauge will work only in the opposite direction. The above post is correct and a GM is 0 empty and 90 full.

anyone know the ohms for a d50? im trying to put an old datsun tank in my d50 im hoping the sending unit will be the same.
