im about to convert my 4x4 87 k5 blazer to a bagged and body dropped daily....

Its the stock motor, it was supposedly rebuilt 29k miles ago, but I have no idea what's wrong. Talked to an ase cert master mech yesterday, he sed if grounds and power good, get a new distributor.

hopefully. If i can ever get it running, i'm going to get the dash finished and cruise it in shitbox mode for a while just so i have something to drive again. There's a slammed square body dually and a lowered 2 door tahoe that i see every day taking my kids to school, so i gotta get the burb going so i can be the coolest dad, lol.

so what was it doing..when i swaped my tbi into my dually ...i lost a distro wire that kept it from runing ...once i got that it ran like it should ...it was a small jumper wire

Just a suggestion, I found a problem on a 91' acouple of weeks ago. the thing would start but miss and stall at idle. If you kept your foot on the gas it would run rough then eventually die out. I pulled the cap and rotor and found that the star wheel (magnet) for the pick up to fire was cracked and it would mis-fire and and run with no power. Just one more place to check, hope this helps you out.

well, distributors usually come with a new cap and rotor, right? That may take care of a bunch of these suggestions, i really hope it does, lol. Thanks for all the advice, guys, maybe between all of us we can get the fat kid running again. It has only run that one day that i took the shitty cell phone video. It will crank and crank but not turn over. Fuel and spark are intermittent, the only thing that's consistent is the compression.

i love the burban. cant imagine going through what youve gone through. i wish you the best with the remainder of your build.
