I dont see the great thing about Obama when has only been in Washington since 2004 and has never lead a piece of legislation. Dont you want a President with some experience before we make him the leader of the free world. Yes everyone wants CHANGE but not all change is GOOD!
I never said I was for Obama.. I'm just not for McCain.. He has no idea about financial poilcy and that's the president we need. Watch him on the depates.. When anyone asked him about financial policy he just studders and then says he's gonna bring in so and so and bring in so and so.. So he has NO idea about financial policy. He wants to outsource the economy to an "expert" .. That's ridiculous to me.. The president should at least have some kinda of idea of how financial policy needs to be.. All McCain knows is War.. War war war... When there's no need for it. If we weren't over there meddling in shit that has nothing to do with us they wouldn't hate us so bad. They are gonna follow us home.. Blah blah blah.. Bring the troops home and strengthen our borders and keep the illegals out. Secure our borders and make sure they can't get in if they do "come over here go get us". Close down all the bases in foerign countrys where we have no reason to be in the first place. Spend some money on our own country.
I'm not a Liberal.. I'm an American that is smart enough to see that it's going down the tubes and going quick. Sorry I'm not gonna fall in line behind the rest of the crowd just because someone was a POW. My dad was a POW and I would never elect him as president. So why should I vote for McCain just because of that. That's all he talks about and I'm sure it was rough but this is about our country.. Not about what happened in Vietnam years and years ago.

^^^^lol...now your blaming fuel prices on the military. It would better to point the finger at China and India that are really reasponsible for increasing the worldwide demand on oil. I dont like paying $4.70 for diesel just like everyone else but maybe this is what it takes to help us decrease our dependency on oil.

No not blaming the Military... Just know it's a fact that world demand has gone way up since the war started.. That's when gas prices went thru the roof.... So it's pretty simple.. We use millions of gallons every day fighting a war with no stated enemy... "them" and "terrorists" is a pretty broad range don't ya think? What exactly is a terrorist? Oh wait.. There's no real deffinition of a Terrorist or Terrorism.. It's just a broad term used by the government that blankets all kinds of things.
If you look at it like that.. This country was founded by "Terrorists"...
Now think how would you react if someone was here occupying our country for no real reason? How would you act if it were you and someone was here shooting up all your buddies? Yes some need shot but there have been several innocent people killed that had nothing to do with "Terrorism"
Tell me one reason... One real reason why we are in Iraq...
So yep.. I'm pretty sure that Millions of gallons have something to do with that "demand" that's raising fuel prices.. Maybe I'm just a wacko I dunno..
Seems like simple math to me?

thats is correct, the reason prices go up is because people are allowed to speculate on the price of oil which in turn causes prices to rise, the reason that prices have gone up so much is because before 2001 there was a law that prevented it.

I want someone in the government that will stand for there people and not themselves.
Cheney was an oil guy before he took the VP job so with these higher oil prices I am sure he is getting a lil kick back...on stock or whatever.
By the way Exxon just reported a 11 bill. dollar 2Q.
During this Other American companies are slowly but surely going under.
Over the last 5-6 years there has been hundreds of thousands of jobs lost in the steal industry alone. China is in there "American Revolution" right now and the the steal market has gone crazy. A couple years ago we were paying 300 a ton now it is up to 800 a ton with no end in sight.
So now China is dropping subsidized steal on our docks and helping the push to put our steel industry out of business.
As for the oil shortage? There isnt one and there never was one. But the oil companies are using this whining for cheaper prices to push there off shore drilling. Which wont really help us at all.
So why are gas prices so high? False speculation I think. The boys are hearing shit that we arent that are making them run the price of oil up.
What we need to realize is that the world is becoming alot smaller. It is becoming more globalized and we need to take the necessary steps to make sure we stay the 1# country. As of right now we are just standing back and letting China take over the world.

You can't vote party, you have to vote for a person you think will stand up for what you believe. Not everyone has the same priorities and beliefs. You have to watch what they do and not just what they say.
On the war I suppose if we leave all the people we are fighting will just stay there and leave us alone?

Frankly, I'd rather have Hillary than Obama.
...and just for the record:
I'm not necessarily Pro-McCain, but I'm sure as hell Anti-Obama. It's all about the lesser of two evils.
Obama supporters need to wake up. Like Husk said, partisan voting is obsolete in this day and age. Most people are too lazy to look into the candidates for themselves, so they vote for who the party/MTV/CNN tells them to.
Like I said, I didn't want McCain in the primary. My Boy was Huckabee, then Romney when it became clear Huckabee wasn't going to get it. I vote for whoever closest emulates my ideals.
Ron Paul is awesome, but lets face it, he never had a shot in Hell.
In fact, as a registered Independent, I couldn't participate in the Republican Primary. So instead of doing nothing, I voted Hillary over Obama in an attempt to throw the California Primary.
Obviously, that didn't work.
Point is, be active, research the Candidates, and think for yourselves. I find Libs to be the first ones to call everyone 'sheep', but when you really talk about the issues with them, I find most libs my age have no clue what their party is really about and is only swaying that way because MTV tells them to.

Clarification for those who are easily confused.
That comment was in reference to the Primary. Reason being, she wouldn't stand a chance against McCain in the Election.
Either way, our once great Country is going down the tubes. All three of them are pure shit, IMO.
Not to say Dubya doesn't have his issues, but He's definitely got balls, and I admire that. He stick to his guns, I admire that too.
...and before any of you get smarmy, I have two great Bro's, three cousins and an Uncle over there. They believe in what they are doing and I do too. The cause/enemy/duration/morality of this war is all dependant upon which new channel you believe and what AM radio you listen to. So debate amongst opposing sides is futile.
Nobody likes war. I sure don't, but to capitalize on people's emotions for political gain is deplorable in my opinion.
I believe time is a great Referee. That being said, I belive Dubya will be vindicated in the history books.
