got a fricken stereo ticket tonight.

Well I am old, and can't hear real well, hence the reason to crank it up louder. Mighta been n2deep, mix alot, something along those lines.

Just found out $210 ticket, but I can get a ticket for 21-25 mph over and only pay $185. WTF. Probably been cheaper just to run the pos pig over.

Never done a ride along though. I don't like stereo tickets though because it is so arbitrary.

Now I'm going to preface this with I have a very loud stereo(when it's installed in something). Probably the loudest around here(and best sounding). But I get irritated when these kids pull up next to me with all there windows down, one note of bass playing(because they have a crappy bandpass setup) and there highs distorting. There car is rattling to beat the band(that shows my age). If you want a loud stereo that's fine with me, but do it for yourself not to impress people. Even with mine at full volume you could barely hear that it was on outside of the vehicle because of all the sound deadening, and it hit 157db(local comp probably not to accurate but you get the idea)with just one of the subs going and then I later added another sub and amp. It's people like that that get these stupid laws enacted in the first place. If people would be more responsible(not saying you were doing anything wrong krewz) we wouldn't even have to worry about this crap.


I would take it to court. Like I said it is so arbitrary I think they would be hard to uphold. Go out and find a motorcycle cop and see when you can start hearing his bike. Take it to court with you. Maybe you can at least get it reduced a little.

I sale the local police, sheriff dept and highway aptrol tires so i usally dont have a problem with the regular officers...but as soon as they get a rookie im sure to get pulled over, bu ti dont take any shit from them so it usally works out pretty good. if you know your vehicle laws and challenge a few tickets in court and beat them they tend to leave you alone as wel lol./..sucks you have to do that first around here though

did have 3 officers help me not to get run over after i had somebody cut an airline on my truck the other day..when it let go i lost all my air and was stuck in the middle of the road until i found where the line was apparently cut and slapped a union in there, so that was kinda cool, as far as the stereo stuff goes, ive luckily only been given warnings on that lol
