Rat Rods CAN be cool. But just like every other fad, everyone jumps on the bandwagon and theres naturally gonna be alot of halfass hacks jumping on the same trend.

ok looking at the first one, i know it's hard to see, and i am visually impaired, BUT it looks to me like something (exhaust or intake, can't tell totally here) is made of 2 soup cans and is sticking out from where the hood SHOULD be lol.

RHM, those r some good pics. I liked all three. The middle is a early 50 chevy. The no hood thing is a "traditional styling technique." Its kinda been brought back from a guy in the san fran area. I love it...I chop that bitch in heart beat and never paint it. The 60s truck is to wholly for me. I feel the ford should pull the dual quads and scoop....other than that its cool. Check out my is me page to see why.
I think we can all see why the first truck on the page is a p.o.s. but the guy may had fun building it.....doesnt mean he should. Its kinda like anything. We can look at pretty much anyones car and tear it apart...
ps. my dad had a 49 chevy that was a pack smokes off the ground when he was in high school...so the whole rat rod thing plays off of traditional, no money building and styling. You did the best you could with what you had. My 34 needs a straight axle and I will paint it. Check out the HAMB if you like these cars.

ok see there is the problem.... there are "hotrods" which is what rhm posted... adn then there are teh big pile of shit "ratrods"
i LOVE 40s-50 styled cars... they got some of the best lines ever built.... its just these idiots going out and putting a runing motor in rust buckets that get under my skin
and trust me i understand "budget" built vehicles but just cause you are on a budget doesnt mean you gotta risk your own life just to have somethin to drive.

yeah I guess my picks are more hotrods than rat rods. I love the car in the middle. he drives it like a 1/2" off the ground too. Those pics are from the turkey rod run last year btw.
