05 colorado starts and dies

My friend is having a problem with his 05 colorado. It will crank but as soon as it cranks it dies then it displays a lock symbol, Any ideas on what it is and how to fix it?

all battery and ground lines/connections tight? I have the same issue with mine, however I relocated the battery and I think my connections for the extensions are loose. I just wiggle the wire and it fires up. also are the battery terminals clean?

security on the ignition switch may be bad . Take it to a dealer and get checked out.

we had that problem and it was maf sensor in backwards... big oversight by me

same thing happen to minie. he will have to go to dealership.....

my 05 did the same thing and it was the ignition switch. and it was onlty at the dealer for a month before the figured it out. it doesnt show up on the scanning tool they use. the had to put a code recorder in the truck and drive it around till it did it again.
