Thanks Ren! Where have you been? No, the guy that did the tattoo work is Donavan Kinyon who tattoo's out of Garage Ink in Napa.

Here's some more work under the hood. We have the right splash shield all finished up!

Also, the drivers side coil cover piece is all wrapped up.

It's hard to see it down there, but definitely looks better with it!

I'm not sure on Danger Zone. We don't go to many shows as a shop, so it would depend if the owner wanted to take the truck there or not.

We thought that it needed something in the upper front corner of the engine bay to even it out since the coolant bottle is on the opposite side. We didn't need another bottle, so we decided to make a small tool holder/fuse cover. All of the large fuses for the main car and stereo are behind the fake bottle and in it will be all of the tools necessary to remove almost all of the panels under the hood.

We had to relieve and conceal the screwdriver inside a "dummy" cap which will match the real coolant bottle cap perfectly (after 6 notches get milled into it).

6 notches milled at 2.9 degrees (don't ask me, GM did it that way).

Love all the aluminum work under the hood, got a question though how are you finishing everything as we see it in the pics, what im trying to say is it all looks "smooth" are you sanding every thing with really fine sand paper? Just wondering what steps your doing to get the look that we see. Also what are your plans to finish them? clear coat?

All the steel pieces will be painted, the aluminum pieces will probably be brushed and have oem style tags on them. All the sheetmetal is TIG welded and then we finish it up to 120. The TIG welding leaves a nice soft weld that you can hammer and dolly and metal finish until it's almost perfect and never get brittle like a MIG weld will. All of the aluminum is block sanded up to 500 and then we use a grey scotchbrite on them.
