control arms W/ 1" cross member section?

 what happens when i buy  the twisted minis control arms  that come with tabs  to mount to your frame for the strut arms. but have a 1" section cut out of my front cross member  between the lower control arm and frame like done in MT mag? is it new brackets? or do i need to build my own brackets for the frame rail? is there any versatility between companies in fabrication pertaining to this kind of stuff?

Can't you just trim the tabs down?

probably but wasnt sure if the strut arms would hit the frame. or if any one has these combo of mods and had any probs?
