Frame notch for 6'' rear drop?

On a 06-08 ram, would you have to notch the frame to have a 6'' drop in the rear? I can get a 4/6 for about $400, and I can use the drop spindles later anyways, I was just wondering if i could install the flip kit and hangers without notching it.

i would think that it would bottom out really bad..thats what i get when lookin at mine and its just shackeld out back

Your gonna have to notch it...guys with 2/4's ussually bottom out quite often...I make weld in c-notches for that truck if u need one. Cheaper than anyone else offers them...hit me up for a price.

well i'm bagging it as soon as i get the money anyways, but i'll probabally just put on the 2/4.5 for now, save the spindles and sell the shackles.
