cutting the crossmember will be your easiest, cheapest solution...

ok sweet. so i have the oilpan problem fixed. now my big problem is the headers. i can't see how these will fit at all. the stock exhaust manifolds will not work. the heddman shorty s10 v8 swap headers are not fitting either. again, this is a traditional bodydropped s10 with a 350 small block. it seems like the biggest place they are hitting on both sides is the upper control arm. i have stock arms and hope i don't have to get suicide doors tubular arms to fix this problem. i want to get them but i don't want to spend $800. i know there are people with 20's up front on a bodydropped s10 with a v8 swap that have stock arms. right? lol   on my '84 s10 (that is not bagged) i have an LT-1 swap. the headers on there looks like they would be perfect, but they were custom made and i don't see any like them.

The airbrushed s10 little shop has been building is running a sbc with some sort of factory manifolds...i got a pic somewhere.

Would making a new steering shaft help? Can you post a pic?

i bet it is the camaro manifolds, like a 89-92 or something. i was gonna try those but wasn't for sure if i should or if there was something i was missing with the heddman headers.

there doesn't seem to be any problems on the driver side where the steering shaft goes through the heddman headers, just where they hit the control arm. i'd post a pic but my dad just used those headers on his truck last night. haha wtf???
