Does the bose system have a better slalom time? Obviously it has a better ride, just wondering if it translates to faster cornering.

Alot of sports cars use this technology on shocks when you change the ride setting from touring to sport.

I believe there are two different types of suspension being discussed in this thread. The first is the bose electromagnetic system that is controlled heavilly by computer and keeps the body still while the car goes over bumps. the problem that I heard the system had is that it uses alot of electricity and cannot on its own hold the car off the ground. this means it need helper springs and so all of the small bumps in the road can still be felt. the other system is the magnetorheological shocks which change viscosity depending on the strenghth of the magnetic field they are in. these are used today on some vehicles and have the ability to give a smooth ride or an agressive ride at the flip of a switch. i believe a liter of the fluid sells for approximatly $2500 so...

I've seen magnetic brakes where the pads are magnets and they don't even touch the rotors. I saw it on a land speed car. That was prety cool too!

why does the driver over exaggerate the side to side movement during the slalom tests ? I think most people will believe it without their cheesy acting
