viair 450 max psi

I just got a viair 450 from a buddy of mine and wanted to add it to my system,but I run a 200psi pressure switch.Does anyone run there 450's to that high.It would be on a 5 gallon tank.

I have known people that have got 225 psi out of 1 450. I have been running around 200-210 with mine with no problem for atleast 2-3 years.

Just be aware, that if you operate a VIAIR compressor over its rated pressure and it fails - you will not have any warranty to protect your investment. Its pretty easy to determine how a compressor fails if it is somewhat new, and the intake and exhaust valves are bent. Its best to operate the compressor how it was designed to operate. -It makes for a more positive experience all around if what you paid for lasts as long, or longer than expected.
