I have a project in bare metal, should I put a primer on before the bodywork, or after. Whats a good primer to use?
Matt
primer after bro...whenever using filler or fiberglass you want it to bond to bare metal

actually a good epoxy would be a great start to any job. Epoxy can be applied to the bare metal, and protect it while you do your repairs. Bodywork can be applied over top of sanded epoxy. Keep in mind that microcorrosion starts immediatly on raw steel with all the moisture in the air.

yep always use epoxy, if u dont ull most likely run into problems down the road
any brands you guys have in mind?
mud it then primer. just da it with 80 grit and clean it real good b4 the first coat of primer and you wont have anyproblems.
I like to prime it first to protect it and its easier to locate all the problems you have to fix
when u block ur body work it should be finished with nothing gritter than 180. if u can get it to 320 that would probally be best. but definatly prime afrer
