Somthing to keep in mind. The RX7 rear ends get alot of negative toe when they are all the way down. If you plan on driving low in the rear i would get a rearend that has A arms instead of a trailing arm like the RX7

Correct.......Mark VIII, T-bird, and Cobra are all essentially the same center chunk. Cobra has a lil different A-Arm setup than the t bird and mark viii.........the mark viii and t bird both have a 5x4.25 bolt circle and the cobra has the 5x4.5....however it is relativley easy to have the hubs of the mark viii or t-bird redrilled...thats what i did.....also the t bird is a cast center chunk and both the mark viii and cobra are aluminum.......IMO these are the best IRS to go with.....i myself have the mark viii and my bro is using a t bird on his ranger......they are similar to a front suspension and have a long arm short arm setup on them....they are easy to narrow and you will only get camber change throughout the articulation whereas previously stated the RX-7, 300ZX, and similar rearends with a single trailing arm caster alot when at full articulation.....i got my whole rear cradle from a 93 mark viii from u pull and pay in orlando for $99........they have locations all over th estates....there site is www.upullandpay.com

check my 03 4runner profile for some pics of a basic mark viii irs setup

ya you could do that...but cobra hubs arent cheap.....and i paid $50 to have my hubs drilled....cobra hubs are at a minimum $90 a piece.......my brother paid $100 to have his redrilled so i would say having them redrillled would cost between 50-100 and be a lot chepaer than the cobra hubs

a Mazda 929 has an IRS and is about the same width as a mini, and has a 5 bolt pattern thats the same as a Ford. plus the center carrier has an aluminum finned cover.
