will the can-do 4-link hold up?

i got a '96 sonoma with the can-do bolt on reverse 4-link link. been on there for several years with no problems. seemed like a cool kit and did not effect the use of the stock gas tank location. i also have the devious customs aluminum tank installed.

well i'm puttin in a v8 that will have some nice horsepower and i do not want the gas tank near the driveshaft anymore. it's seriously about an inch away and scares me. lol i could just see the driveshaft breaking and slamming into it. uhhh gives me chills.

anyways, so i'm gonna get a fuel cell and mount it behind the axle, but i have the reverse 4 link, so space is somewhat limited. not too big of a deal since i found a shallow 17 gal fuel cell.

but then i was thinking, maybe the can do 4-link, being reverse, can't hold up to a lot of horsepower. i was hoping i wouldn't have to swap it out and get a regular, forward 4link. but maybe i could just flip my can-do reverse around and make it a forward?? any ideas? sorry for the novel..... curious to hear some responses.......

not gonna get a bit of traction being reversed with a v8 and will probably wheel hop bad too.ran reversed on my taco for awhile and it worked ok as long as i didnt take off hard.

Steve from cando says hes sold thousands and has never had a complaint about his kit. who knows if they were running a v-8s and knew what to feel or look for. But hes been selling those for a while and knows a thing or two about selling reversed 4 links. i wont ever install them but if you want a bolt in kit and want reversed its the best reverse kit out there

ya your reverse link is not going to be albe to plant that kinda power to the pavement. your going to need to run a forward link.

im sure the link will hold up, cando makes nice stuff, put the fuel cell in and try it out? and go from there.

yeah, id just use the bars you have and make new mounts running forward. you might be able to reuse at least the lower tabs on the axle if nothing else.
