I work my ass off for a living!...."Lost Cause" is how I pay for my shit
And I also do all my own work
ill give you some help. im 21. i made almost 40k last year and couldn't get anything done to my truck. here's some tips. don't buy a brand new car. stupid stupid stupid. credit cards suck. and ( if it applies) don't go nuts on the snap on truck. oh and the biggest one stay single. i think i could build five trucks all the goofy handbags and stuff i buy her. just some of my woes
Do the work myself, and bust my ass to pay for the parts.
While I was in highschool and college I worked 45-50hrs a week during the both so support the habit, yes it sucked but it was the only way. Instead of wasting my money on partying (which I did quite a bit of too) I invested it into shit I'd see later on, cars and trucks!
First time divorce was brought up was over some tools from snap on
im in college, and got my first truck i paid half of it for my 16bday, paid off. bagged and bodydropped it, got painted, billets, etc. just took 6 years to get there just about saving money, having a good paying job and having GREAT friends with knowledge and skills to help you out along the way
I worked during college to pay for alot of it and then my parents hooked me up with some as a graduation present. Alot of it is deciding what you really want to spend your money on. Now that I just graduated I am spending my first six months worth of pay to finish my blaze so that I can get it done and start saving for grown people things.
A big hint too is live at home as long as possible, cause if you arent paying rent you have more money for your truck.
but yeah, parts werent cheap when i did all my work.... it cost me around 8k total to build mine with paint, wheels, etc. plus i dont pay a truck note cause its paid off, so that helps
them snap on tools will get ya. I pay more on tools a month than on my 06 hhr. I think the thing to realize is these trucks take time you're not just gonna wake up with a cover truck in your driveway. but thats part of the fun and the hard times make you appreciate it more.
7 years of a little here and a little there. 3 years of which were spent working 60-70hrs a week. Knowledgable/willing friends are the most important though.
if i can't [pay for it in cash i dont buy it but sicne i am married it makes it a lil harder now but i am finishin up college and workin 2 jobs to pay for everythign so if its somethign you want you gotta work for it if i need parts i might not go out on weekends for a few weeks to save money or a few less fast food rips
