Just wondering on how some of you were doing this. I really dont want to drop the 250-300 bills on the suicide doors crossmember. Any help would be much appreciated!!

on my brothers truck all we did was cut the original cross member and hammered the pinch weld on the cap and it moved it up about almost an inch and a half. then we shortened the strap. it worked pretty damn good

raisng the rear like Rich says works great but if you drag alot youl need to raise the front too...i learned that the hard way

have yall talk to sd.com about theres? they are not a raised x memeber they are smaller to clear the drive shaft for ppl who run 4 links that the rear end goes up so far. only ppl who makes a raised kit is fbi but you have to clearence the under side of the bed for the sending unit to clear

on my buddies, we just made our own out of 2x2 box steel and some all-thread, then modified the front mount to raise it.

On mine, I went with a blazer tank. It fits perfectly at the rear of the frame, almost like it was ment to be there....

If you use our (fbi's) crossmember, you'll end up with an approx. 4x6 hole in the bed where the sending unit comes through. We include a filler panel that you can weld in to cover that up, but that's the only way you're getting enough clearance to keep the stock tank from dragging. Once everything is welded up and painted, you hardly notice the filler panel- just a flat spot on the bed floor...
