ASTRO/ S-1O SPINDLES

Does anyone know if a S-10 spindle is the same as an astro spindle

They are not the same. Astro's are rear steer and s-10's are front steer.

correct me if im wrong but this look front steer to me.i happen to building 1 right now

I was told that too, they are not the same though. Both are front steer (atleast my 86 is) But the caliper mount is different. i used the s10 springs, they hammered my v8 powered astro in the front and was able to align it still. Hope that helps

there diff but are both front steer.the sloset thing ive seen to a astro spindle is a round body caprice

s10 shit only interchanges with G-body cars.

Astros and Caprice share some of the same front end parts, but not spindles.

This topics been covered so many times and I've seen it come up like once a week for the last month or so. Thats all I was gettin at. Don't take it personal.

When i was trying to figure out front end parts for my Craprice I just went on google and matched part #s to figure out what would work since my buddy had a bunch of Astro stuff around, and I was able to use some of it.

Sorry. I would have sworn astro's were rear steer. So to learn something from this thread, exactly what front end parts are the same between the caprice and astro?
