I was wondering is anyone has shaved thier drip rails (channel above the window) And if so is there any pros or cons on doing this?
Thanks
not as easy as it looks and it tends to be a pain in the ass
shaved them off on mine but it really didn't look right without them so we made new ones and put them back on
It looks good when you drill the off at the spot welds and weld the seam , but the side effects are water dripping/building up in door . Now the other way I think looks extremely ugly when you weld a piece of sheetmetal from the drip rail to roof
I welded a piece of rod inside and hammered the edge over and welded the top lip as well. Then its just a matter of a little filler and sanding.
another pic before filler and primer
