So I am going to buy a mid 80's 4dr dually. I am gonna be laying rocker with semis (eventually) my question is...... that I wa t to use this as a summer tow rig to tow boats race cars and lowriders. I want to put a LARGE ragtop in it so we can enjoy the sun six people deep. Is a rag top not going to last with the torque and weight causing the body to twist? I plan on doing a sfbd and 2x4I the inside of the frame. I know I've seen people with rags but only on parked rigs never seen someone tow with one. Any thoughts would be great...

No problem man. I buddy has an 88-98 with a 454 and full length sliding ragtop and it hasnt affected anything. It has pulled loads throughout the years too.

the torque and weight isnt gonna cause the rag top to distort and leak?? ive heard ragtops are have really bad wind noise?? is that true?

Your trucks strength is in the frame...not the cab. The cabs mounted to rubber bushing and is not load bearing(other than for whats IN the cab).
