Ya the 10 lug looks way better, whoever made those 26" that are direct bolt on didnt look to good to me or any other smaller size direct bolt ons. Only part that sucks is the weight the adapters put on the wheels

Hey...... Personally, I dig the 10 lugs...............Duallys are their own species ....... Lifted or lowered your wheel choice will make or break you!! I've seen a dually with 8 lug 26" direct bolt ons and it looked like a DONK! The lugs were too close and too small for the size of the truck........Y settle for 8 when U can have 10........GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!

22's or 24's on a 10 lug but make the wheels close together so no axle shortening or fender extendining is needed

Jamie, Give them my contact info. I have tons of measurement for vehicles and other fitment knowledge that may help them in the decision of what to make.

"I personally like the 10 lug appearance. The bigger sizes in 8 lug look weird to me for some reason."

Me too man, i really hate them 19"with the small bolt pattern, i bought a set had em mounted up and put on and told them to take um right back off, they looks donkesh to me.
as for the question at hand, the one thing i would like to see is what Cherryelco said, make um so theres not as much hassle putten um on, a thinner mounting surface even if it had to have a steel insert would really help, and if they were to adjust there load rating i am sure a thinner surface would pass DOT. right now with a set of alcoas on there that are rated at 7,200 pounds and weighs in at about 50 pounds each seams kinda a bit over kill to me
