does it matter that it's a fuel injected motor that i started with and now i'm switching over to a carburetered set-up with the 350? i was told since the transmission is electric???? it won't work.

I think you will need to use a standalone computer...
Here is an example...

My suggestion is to get the 700R4 because its cheaper and easier...(but is expesive to build) for high HP/TQ numbers

damn that sucks. i was hoping to use my tranny and not throwin out the cash for a new tranny. anyone know where i can get one for cheap? will i have any problems with this tranny since i'm bodydropped or is it the same dimensions as my stock tranny?

You can use your tranny, all you need is one of the boxes to make the speedo and shift points work right. Street rodders do this swap all the time.

Check TCI's website they have one listed that will work for your application.

shit seems pretty confusing. i wonder if i just need the remote Throttle Position Sensor ($235) or if i need the full transmission control unit ($500+).
