06 ram rear

How big of a notch would i need to lay 24's on a 06 ram. Ive seen a few ppl with 11inch notchs but i didnt know if it was over kill or realy needed. Other question is for 24"s does the rear end need to be shortened? and by how mutch?

From what I have measured on mine, to clear a 24" with a 32" tall tire, a 10 inch notch is needed. I narrowed my rear 4" total to make it clear.

I was told that mine would probably get shortened 3" for 22x10s. Don't know about the notch though.
