LOWERING MY ENGINE.. 22RE

HEY CAN I LOWER IT LIKE 4 INCHES IF I MAKE THE ROOM FOR IT.. I HAVE LIKE 4.5 INCHES TILL MY CROSSMEMBER HITS THE GROUND. SO I FIGURED IF I GET THAT WAY LOWERED AND NOTCH MY DRAGLINK LIKE DOUBLE WHAT SETH DID IT WILL FIT.. AND ILL SECTION THE PAN TOO.

IS THERE ANY REASON I SHOULDNT GO THAT LOW?

I WANT IT TO FIT UNDER THE DAMN HOOD.. LOL

do you mean your pan is 4.5 inches off the ground? cuz if you crossmember is..something aint right..anyway..i would recommend seths 1.5 mounts, section the pan,notch draglink..and then modify your intake to get the rest of the clearance you need..if you drop the motor any more than that your gonna have to section the pan more which will mean having to modify the oil pickup tube..and then you will also have the steering stabilizer hit the pan up front and you cant clearance the pan for that cuz its too close to your crankshaft..i have the quivalent of a 4 inch body drop on my toy(2.5bd and 1.5Z)and my hood clears enuf to where i can fit my hand between my intake and braces..so you shouldnt need too much more than that doored

Ive got a 4 inch bd, and my stock hood closes. I used a 1 inch drop mount, and sectioned the x-member to clear the pan, then notched my underhood bracing.

I HAVE A 2 INCH Z AND 4.5 BD SO MY ENGINE IS WAY OUT.. AND MT CROSSMEMBER IS WAY HIGH,, I THOUGHT IT WAS STRANGE TOO SINCE EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT THIERS BEING LOW. I COULD ALWAYS MOVE THE STABILIZER. WELL I WILL FIGURE IT OUT. I GOTTA TAKE A LOOK AGAIN.

AND DO YOU THINK WITH THAT MUCH BD I CAN STILL FIT AN EDC..

yea i have to lower mine about 3/4 or around there but whats the easyest way to lover it the mounts onthe frame have allreadyy been lowered but that was b4 i zed it ...i have a set of stock mounts how do i cut them to lower them...

i have a 3.5inch bd , 1.25 inch z, lowered engine mounts 1.25, cut the lower section off the pan flat, new crossmember made out of 1/2inch solid bar, trimmed the support off hood, made a custom intake, stock hood fits

you should only need like a 1 inch Z, from what im told. seths mounts will drop it 1.5 inches, and i bet if you wing him sweet nothings and hug him just right he'll build 2 inch drop mounts. this of course being that you will probably have to modify quite a bit more than you would with the 1.5's

THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE EASY TO MAKE. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS GONE LOWERE

LOL THATS WHAT I WAS TRYING TO DO.. I HOPE IT TURNS OUT AS GOOD AS I SEE IT IN MY HEAD. LOOKS LIKE SHIT NOW BUT IT WILL BE PRETTY NICE. IM GONNA FINISH THE NEW FLOOR AND FIREWALL THIS WEEKEND
