i used to live in a apartment with a garage, the landlord hated me workin on my ride but i did it anyway cause everyone living around me was cool with it, but i have lived in some where ive had cops called on me for just turning on a grinder, its hard but good luck

I live in an apartment, but one of the nice things about the northeast is you can rent residential garages from anyone. Its very common for say the guy around the street with a 3 car detached to rent his garage out on a lease and let you do anything you want (most of the time the only thing you can do is paint). I rent a 21x24 (its truely a POS, but no leaks and keeps 99% of the cold out) for 175 a month, electric is paid!

damn i feel bad for some of you. i pay $500 a month for a 3 bedroom house. only have a carport, and not in that great of a neighborhood both of my neighbors on either side and across the street are cool with me working on my truck. one guy even comes over and lends me a hand from time to time.

I live in military housing. Not supposed to work on vehicles in our garages! I've cut up some fenders for flares on a soldier's FS Chevy, did a brake job on a Z, and my buddy did a tuneup on his F150. Once I get back from Iraq, I'm going to see about the Auto Hobby Shop and see if I can do my SFBD there. Just won't be able to enjoy beer while working on my shit.
