I had a customer get his set done in Cali about 3 years ago. They looked good for the first month or so and then the chrome started to peel. The problem with plating the wheels is that they require such a large amount of electricity to allow the nickel and chrome to stick to the wheels that not alot of companies have the proper vats and equipment to accommodate these wheels.

You could look into CosmiChrome instead, it's a spray application of a layer of real silver, not electroplating. Looks great but the people doing it have to have their shit together or it won't look good for very long. There's definitely a trick to applying it in a way that it will last. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than "real" chrome and looks just as good. You can also tint it pretty much any color as part of the process is a clear (or colored clear) topcoat.

We have one of the Spray Chrome systems here and I just don't like the thought of a clear coat on the wheels but that is just me. We have done some tinted sets of wheels but never a solid chrome set. Problem with this stuff is price and the time it takes to apply it.

It is not the physical size it is the density of the aluminum material.

yep totally agree with lock the chrome isnt gunna stick to the wheels... the rear wheel is the main problem.. its such a deep dish that they are gunna have a hard time doin it properly.....
