I have some pictures of it being done but I don't have a way of getting it on my pc. I think mini truckin or somebody did this when they were making new arms but u can plate it afterwards and gusset it and be fine. I'm not sure if its needed on the mazda because i havent done a mazda so I would do a little more research or hopefully somebody will put up a response on what ive just mentioned.

you can lay on 19s, and possibly 20's with stock stuff in a mazda. Why would you need to Z them?

not only that, the uppers are the ones that bind, way before the lowers.
