I heard of a old law that was somthing like if you change the motor you can have smog laws baised off the motors year...

damn.... you guys have bullshit to deal with in cali. i thought tn sucked with its emissions but its no where near that difficult.

Nothing you can do, swaps in post 74 vehicles are now a no no in CA, even if you find an "illegal" smog guy..you could get pulled over, inspected, and then you truck is impounded....sucks, but, thats the way it is now in Cali...

you find an illegal smog guy pay 150 bucks and not have to worry about it for another 2 years. i have never had a problem when i get pulled over for all the motor swaps i have had to pay to pass. not a big deal.

i live in a town that o know a good amout of the cops... i hope they will cut me a brake when they stop me but its tough to hade a motor swap when the damn motors almost as tall as the roof
