gauge wiring

sup yall, i need some help. i have a 74 chevy crew cab dually and im having problems getting the fuel level and temp gauges working. first off the owner before me had installed an aftermarket manual temp gauge into one of the heads, it works but i bought a new factory gauge im tryin to figure out where the factory sender goes im assuming that it is an electric one. now with the fuel gauge. i was wondering what kinda ohm reading i should be getting from the sender. any help with this would be really appericated thanks

Gm put the temp sending unit in the head between the #1 and #3 exhaust ports, which is where i put mine. The fuel level sending unit should be 0 ohms at empty and 90 ohms full, but I could be wrong.
