WELDING TECHNIQUES

^ Keep doing the same thing because you are doing damn good. Just keep practicing, and some day every weld you put down will look the same.

thanks seth,thats pretty much how they all look unless im in an akward position. should i have any worries or bad penetratin? i clean the metal real good.

Good Thread. I tought myself how to weld, Its only been about going to 4-5 months since the first time I welded, and just from practicing my welds have gotten sooo much better, Only problem i have still it when im welding upside down, Sometimes it works out, Other times the weld will start dripping and not welding...I dont understand why, i know its the settings i have to adjust but which way more power, less power, Slower or faster, or even more gas or less gas....O and i have only Mig welded before...I tried Flux core when I first started cause i didnt have gas, it was so hard to begin with flux core I couldnt do it....Now I can but not when I first started.....When you make the switch from flux core to gas, you feel like a pro.....Its awsome...Well keep up the tips. When you go overhead increase the wire speed on the machine and increase your travel speed.

i use a regular helmet with a gold lense and the gold lense is the shit!!!you can see the puddle ten times better.

i agree Brandon. i love my gold tinted lense,doesnt let in too much lite but i can see sooo much better then a normal shade.
