Ranger rear end on a Mazda ?

I just picked up a rear end from a 92 ranger with the 4.0 and was wondering what all is involved in putting it in on my mazda..

what kind of setup do you have? The Ranger with the 4.0 V6 is the 8.8 rear and is a couple inches narrower than the stock Mazda rear. So you don't need to do anything other than attach it with your 4 link or whatever.

right now i'm just static dropped so i was just gonna move the axle pads from the top to the bottom of the rear end. I was wondering what to do about the driveshaft and U-joint. Thanks for the help..Originally posted by notlowyet
