Welder advice

A local pawn shop has a Lincoln Square Wave Tig 175 with the cart regulator and tank for $935, I am sure I could get then down a little more but not much. Has anyone used one of these? Are they a good welder? Is $900 a good price? Any input you have will be helpfull.

i just looked it up online and found out that $900 range is new retail. i would try to get them down 2 around $500 but then again i like to bargain, good luck. i doubt they'll do it but y not try, right???

Always good to look up what they cost new but remember the new price does not include the bottle. Bottles can get expensive, even empty. Be sure it's an owner bottle and you're not getting stuck with a rental (check the collar for stampings) that nobody is going to fill, or they might even snatch it from you.

Cart cost money too.

Where did you find a new one on line? The ones I found were all used and ranged for $750-$1400.

I did look the bottle over and I did not see anything to make me thing rental. There is a Praxxair sticker on it, I would get the SN off the bottle and call them before I put any cash down.
