if its the bondo or body filler coming off it needs to be removed and there must be bare metal before the filler is applied..

you need to strip the filler off and sand the surface with 80 grit, or take it to bare metal...and start over...otherwise, big problems later one.......

the ploblem is not with the filler.is with the stock paint

so its stock paint that you were trying to get rid of is what your saying? if thats the case i wouldnt worry about it and just keep sanding the roof completely and spray it with some primer.

you're going to have to keeps sanding until it feathers. you don't want to risk the paint letting go and taking your new paint with it.

ok dude, heres the deal, or whats up... chevy, ford, chrysler, and toyota all had this problem, the paint not sticking to the factory sealer.... so, you are going to have to strip the factory paint down to metal, with say 80 grit on a DA sander, or air craft stripper and remove all the factory stuff, and including the work you did, and start over, unfortunatly, the rest of the truck is headed in that same direction if it has all the factory paint on it too.....
