Im going to get myself a nice 210 or something in the future. Lincolns are nice and all, but to many issues with them. Its been forever since i touched one but i remember changing wire was a pain

thats what i got is the handler 187 and it a badass machine. havent had any problems and had it about a year so far

I HAVE THE HOBART HANDLER AND IT HAS BEEN THE BESR MACHINE I HAVE EVER USED....LINCOLN WELDERS FROM LOWES AND HOME DEPOT ARE TYPICALY NOT RATED AT 100% DUTY AND OVERHEAT AFTER AWHILE. YOU CAN GET HOBART OR A MILLER FOR AROUND $500 AT HARBER FRIEGHT,EBAY AND SOME WELDING STORES....
IF YOUR INLAW REALLY LIKES YOU SHE'LL BREAK THE AMEX FOR YOU...........

shit man i've been welding with lincoln for over 30 years now, old, new, kinda new, and brand new i just bought a Precision TIG 225 yesterday, and I love them. the only difference between Lincoln and miller is if you like red buy lincoln or if you like blue get a miller. it's all the same shit with a different wrapper

definetly not the same.... i weld every day, and the only thing i pick up the lincoln for is thinner stuff, when im welding heavy plate, the miller will walk all over the lincoln because they just dont seem to produce as steady of an arc as the millers at 220+ amps....

cris has a point...i work for Kubota and the only machines we use day in and day out are Miller...Invisions, Delta Fab's, Deltawelds...best machines built but they come with the price to match...we have an older lincoln power mig and it's a dinosaur...jig maintenance uses it because it can roll...miller, hands down is the best!

I think both brands are great! Ran a lincoln precision tig 275 at the last shop and I own a Lincoln Mig. Have a Miller syncrowave at the new shop and a Miller mig. Never had a problem with either. Get the best machine you can afford.

I love my Miller 175 to death, despite a recurring problem Ive had and couldn't get solved. It involved a short or something that caused the wire to birdsnest inside the machine just as it entered the lining. Hasn't happened in awhile but that probably means it will happen again tomorrow.
