Tinting windows?

My son wants to tint the windows in his mazda, but I will be the first to admit that my attempts at tinting have been epic failures. Has anyone tried those precut window tinting kits? Or does he need to just fork out the dough and pay to have it done.

have it done. It's hard to get no bubbles under it.
Or i don't have the patience for it.
