Ok guys i want to convert my 1987 mazda from weber carb to fuel injection whats everything needed to get this job done.
a new head same block new head, mide as well switch the whole motor out
i would do a motor swap its going to cost just as much
head with FI intake, sensors, wiring harness, fuel tank and pump(oem) computer, relays and maybe some other little things
Does anyone have a complete motor they want to sell? What mazda years are usually fuel injected. Isnt it 1990-1993...
Locate a B2200 fuel injected intake manifold or find an '86-'87 2.0 EFI 626 manifold (I have one and it's very similar to the truck one)
Then get a gas tank out of a B2600i and a Megasquirt stand alone computer and you'd be set. You can use the standard Megasquirt with your stock distributor to control injectors only.

Fuel injected will be better, because it responds to changes faster, gaining more efficient power and mileage.
