Other trail blazer front end coversion questions

I was told in another post that:
"you have to shortin the grill 3" on each side add 2" to the hood and add to the fenders then shorten the bumper 6 inches" So how do you shorten the bumper if it's that plastic crap? Like what do you use to fuse it back together? And with the hood, where do you have to add on to it?
