Need help from DownUnder

Hey guys, im wondering if some one can help me out with some measurements. I need to fit a truck into a container lol and ive been told that there too wide to fit. Im wondering if someone can tell me how long a crewcab dually is from bumper to bumper, also to fit it in the container you have to take off the rear fenders and outside tyres. Are these easy to take off without damageing?

I don't know on the length, but their long, I would think it would fit in a container. When I tried to remove my rear fenders the bolts where all stripped and they cracked the fenders. But they were junk anyway and it's from Ne were we get lots of rust. I wouldn't think it would be to big a deal with a clean truck.

the truck is gunna be roughly 22 ft long depending on bumpers and what not on it. like husk said its all gunna depend how clean the truck is when i come to getting the rear fenders off. they can be a bitch to get off most of the time the dam bolts strip out.

I actually hope its under 20ft cause i was planing on getting a 20footer. But if i need to get a 40foot container it might actually be cheaper for me to get a importer to bring one in for me. Id hope that if i was to buy one that the seller might actually do the work needed to put it in the container for me.

I'll measure my frame tonite to see if pulling the bumpers would do it for you.

22ft from bumper to bumper. That is on both a squarebody and roundbody.

I would definately take the fenders off and the outer wheels. Put the fenders in the cab and the wheels in the bed.

We used to have compact cars and trucks sent over from Japan. Even with the small stuff in a container there was always damage to it.

Just some words of advise.

my truck with no bumper on the front and a smooth roll pan was just around 21 feet give or take and minie is a crewcab non dually 8 ft. so ya 22 ft is about right but say 24 to be safe to give a lil play room and like everyone said pull outside wheels and fenders off

i actually work for a shipping/airfreight company (BAX global/DB Schenker) so ive seen first hand the damage that can be done haha.

Now ive gotten some prices for shipping and its looking like a sure thing, so im still shopping.
Im after something around the $2500us mark, also as close to Carson (LA) as possible. gotta be around the 77-80 mdl, as tidy as possible because its very hard to chase parts here in Australia lol. I dont mind too much about paint or interior but from what ive seen on craigslist i should be able to get something decent for that much. If anyone finds me something decent ill pay a finders fee!!
