Pig, did you say that doing some head work and a stronger cam, then upgrade the injector and headers really brought them alive?

Wut? Crew cab dually with 3.73's? Can I ask why? Should be 4.10 or better for pulling.

Low compression and weak cams are big limitation to the pre-Vortecs. Supercharging is a good option. It gets around the low-flow peanut heads and works well with the low compression.

How tall are the tires? Going from the stock 29" tires to a 31" (for example) would require a change from the 3.73 ratio to a 4.0 to keep the same RPM's. You might consider a 4.11 or 4.56 swap.

Procharger makes a nice D-1 for your truck.... tho I would look at other ideas before s/c'ing your truck as it is......like building a fresh 454 for it......then supercharge it and add better gears in the ass...
