You can have bushing machined to go inside the cylinder to limit their travel as well should you find that you need less stroke. We had to do that in the front of my friends Mazda to keep his 8 inch cylinders from killing the upper ball joints at full stroke. I believe that his cylinders now have a 7 inch stroke instead of 8. It will keep shit from getting wrecked until we get a set of S10 ball joints in there to allow more travel.

no its not bolted directly to the cars tower,,,,the industrial rubber pad goes in between the plate and the tower it allows for tons of flex,,,works perfect i have tons of the rubber pads if anybody needs any hit me up at www.myspace.com/illicitcustoms
but yea the cylinder fits perfectly in the tube you dont want to weld to your cylnder you can cause problems if you do,,,i use mini cup mounts on the bottom they work nicely in the honda fork,,,8s will max a honda out but i never had anything bind,,,ill find some lifted pics of some i have done on 20s they looks crazy all donked out,,,

There is no need for reverse flow cylinders. Reverse flow's are junk. Congrats if you havent had problems with yours. You must be one of the few.

yo thanks a lot everybody...so what size is that tube that u slide the cylinder into...and do I have to buy that mounting plate or is that the top part of the cylinder? so i've gathered that 6in and not reverse flow. right? any specific brands? how many pumps/batteries?

What holds the cylinder into the tube? Is it the cylinder loose and held by the fittng or just really tight fit? What I am getting at is, what is preventing it from sliding out of the tube

Thanks

The weight of the car holds the ram tight in the tubing, and the tubing usually is just bigger than the ram(some play).
