with the brakes i would try gravity bleeding them and then pumping them for a pedal feel..... seems odd that good life left on them and crap feel.... could be bad brake cylinder?????? not a brake guru...... the set up for the rear i wouldn't trust it but that is me.... seems a lil backyard customizing to me but what do i know i only have 4 wheels.... and yea i would mount the helper bag up top like u said

The brakes might feel funny due to the load assit valve not working correctly. The shim looks correct and the leafs have been de-arched. Alot of guys do this to avoid buying the rear flip or shackle/hanger kit(s) and also to keep the cost down on 4links, 2links etc. They have been dearched to lower the truck and the helper bags are there to pull a load while it is lowered. You should not have any issues with this set-up. I would advise installing trailing arms (4link/2link) and getting rid of the de-arched leafs. I have R/R'd rear suspensions in the past and have used de-arched leafs with out incident. It all depends on who you are and what your preference is. It also might be smart to install a notch of some sorts that way you have no issue on bottom'n out the axle on the frame.

I'm really thinking of buying a flip kit and finding a bag kit to put between the axle and frame. Does anyone know of a good bag kit for this. I mean if I didn't have my sprint car this would already be laying on the ground but having two toys is tough.

Belltech makes a pretty good 6" c-notch. It runs about 70.00. If all you're looking to do is tow and not do any of the fun stuff then you should check out Air-Ride technologie's Air Bar Kit. It is a kit built strictly for towing big things and all you have to do is bolt it in. If you are skilled then it also might be cheaper to build your own rear susp.

If it suits your needs there is nothing wrong with that setup. The bags look a little smallish, but if you've already had your trailer on and it pulled fine, I'd leave it. If you want to get lower, then definitely a link system with bags would be the way to go.
