It doesn't look like it's cut too much to me? It's a 1/2 ton fella's thats pretty common.. I like the Space-cab in the background...

Sweet Dude!

I'm gonna make my kid drive a pink Mazda Miata for his first ride. Y'know...to toughen him up a little.

I ran outa camera juice that day... Yup, pie cutt the frame then boxed it in. Plenty strong. My dually is that way too. Todd has done a ton of them this way with no problems.

In fact, Tyler (my son) is gettting the same set up on his as Todds (lowboy)body dropped dually.

We are going 4 valves and sway bars. Simple is better for T in my opinion.

Thats Seth's at NC. The real cool part ( I thought they were crazy) was that it has an Rx7 independant suspension rear end. neg camber on all 4 corners. Lowboy and Seth fabbed up everything including narrowed axles and such.

Tyler fancys himself too cool. He would just let it sit there. Seriously...

I offered him the drop about 6 months ago, and he really wasnt interested. His first question was, well do I have to work on it? Pissed me off something serious.

Then all O sudden, 4 months later, he comes to me and says he wants it dropped. I thought....so he's not gay...I was so happy. I told him...you have to work on it, and not on your schedule on Todds. The best part is he is having a good time working on it. Its something I have dreamed of workin with the boy on his vehicle. Something I wished my old man did.
Just wanted to get him to understand why I have 5 cars... and doing more than sitting on the computer or hanging with friends at the mall.

So we spent about 4 hours on it yesterday...and I had camera juice.

Pulled the bumper, pulled the bed, removed the rear leaf perches, shock perches, crossmember. Put in a cross memeber, the lower arms, and the notch.

Here is a pic of another truck with the same type of mod done to the front frame. The reason I do this is to let the lower arm rotate up enough to lay on a 30" tall tire. It kills two birds with one stone. No notching of the rear lower arm to clear the frame, and no need notch for the tie rod ends on the front side.
