Dropzone's homo ass gate guards! BOOO!

from the pictures josh sent me taunting me because i didnt have a ride cuz he didnt end up taking his truck cuz hes a fag and its not done lol jk

but i heard this year was a good show

and if you cant get in the gate... go find a dark area of the fence and hop it

im 6 foot 4 235 lbs and i can get up over a 10 foot fence in like 5 seconds so i know u guys can.. plus if i drove the 14 hours to get there.. theres noway in hell anybodys gonna keep me out... unless its chuck lidell

we found 3 diff places to go under the fence, but the thing is, we were being followed by fairgrounds security. This is AFTER we got to the gate around 9:00 PM. I just wanna clarify that I'm definitely not trying to start shit with Magical Minis as a group. I know, the rules they need to follow in order to cover their own asses, are important. I have a pretty good idea of what kind of stuff clubs get to deal with on any full weekend show. I also have gotta say that through the years I have met quite a few Magical Minis folks out at DZ and my impression is that you are bunch of great people and then there's the occasional stressed out, bad day where the asshole comes out in some of us.

The reason I felt like it was worth complaining to begin with was..... there's no need to "set the standard" on how good a show can be.... DropZone 2005 was one of the best weekends of my life... and there IS room for improvemet, guys, especially regarding the way your fellow mini trucker here got treated at the gate. The attitude that I got from a couple of these guys, lets just say I would be really ashamed of any mini trucker who has this attitude all day every day! I know we're all better than that... even the guys at the gate, who were probably just on the rag and fresh outta tampons.

To the couple of hardasses at the front gate: It's one thing to be rude to some fellow mini truckers lookig to have a good time; it's another thing altogether to realize how far we came for the show you're hosting, and tell us to get lost without being even halfway considerate of the fact that we got days off work, saved gas money, spent hours and hours on our trucks that unfortunately didn't make it to the show with us, and told quite a few people ahead of time that we would be leaving town the last weekend of July for this AWESOME MINI TRUCK SHOW CALLED DROPZONE.

2005 was a great time... enough so that they really crushed us by turning us down in 07.

What I did is promote their event without being asked to... build a truck that would have done its part in bringing spectators if it had only made the trip... Brought friends and we all had cash in hand ready to pay whatever it cost to get in, before the 10 PM curfew... honest to god, there were 3 of us and not one of us had seen a single DropZone 2007 flyer all summer... none were sent to me this year and the only info I sought out about the show all year long, was the show date. Nothing else mattered. It didn't matter that we tried to get there much earlier in the day, shit happened, and we kept on goin. It didn't matter that the last time I went through the gate at DropZone was the 2005 show at 11:15 in the morning... after pre-registering two trucks (my sister and me)......

The problem is, these guys knew I had been to Dropzone before, and they knew we weren't lookin for any trouble, but the excuse they kept giving us was "Registration ended at 10:00 AM and if you've got a problem with that, don't blame us; blame your club for not telling you to be here no later than 10 in the morning, or blame yourself for not remembering registration by 10 from our last show"

Seriously, the main arguing point this guy used was that their "last show" (2005 DZ) had a 10:00 am registration deadline. Which is totally wrong. And I called him out on it... and explained again how our camping stuff was all with RB and we needed a place to sleep... these guys who SHOULD TREAT ME LIKE A BROTHER , told us to take a hike up the road and find a motel... and then when I asked them to give me a chance to talk to someone in my club and work things out, these guys who had every reason up to this point to JUST BE NICE, instead, THREATENED us by saying they'd call the police if we didn't leave and stay away.

The attitude we got was uncalled for... totally... and I wouldn't be complaining if there weren't party poopers at the entryway. I'd be agreeing with the majority who had a blast. I'm glad yall had fun; wish I could say the same. Just don't be quick to jump on the bandwagon... every summer it happens; people who go through what I went through should NOT be taking the blame for less shows or for the reason things are the way they are. We didn't vandalize, we didn't fight. The only thing I think I handled wrong there, was leaving when they asked me to. Cuz then the same guy who wouldn't talk to my club when I asked him to, went and talked to them 10 minutes later badmouthing the 3 guys at the gate (me and my 2 buddies) and the reason I know this is because I received a drunken halfway passed out phone call from a buddy inside the show right after it happened.

If you're gonna go talk to my club, do it BEFORE you threaten to call the police if we don't disappear.. otherwise you just might come across as an asshole...

Honestly, you never saw a flyer? Flyers were made available in April...and you probably could have just called or e-mailed Eric to get one. If you had put half as much effort into finding out show information as you have bitching about it, this post wouldn't even be here right now. I've been dealing with the guys from Magical for a few years now, and I have a hard time beliving that they jumped straight into threatening you with the cops for no reason...I'm sure sombody from Magical will get on and post their side of the story though...

At any rate, sorry you missed it, it was a bad ass show..

They probably won't wate their time it's a no win situation. But sorry I missed it this year I've made it every year except 04. Chad sorry we let ya down.

I know my post was a little on the long/rant side but you really should have read it before posting that. And no I'm not posting a response to get something started or don't want you to take it personal, but the crew that put the show on had to go through ALOT of shit to make it happen. i did read the entire post and not being let in is just plain bullshit, if it was such a good show then there would not have been a problem, here on the east coast they let you in no matter what at big shows, ive only had problems at one and it was not worth being at anyway, but im not mad just my opinion thats all

There's no point in letting him after the show is over.

as far as me missing out on the flyer goes, yeah, I could've gotten one, sure. Or I could have checked the dropzone site. But you're talking to a guy who hasn't posted on here the past few months let alone check email regularly... Regardless of my computer absence, as Shaggs is fully aware, the plan all along was for me and Keith to just cruise up with the rest of the club, all leaving together at 8 in the evening, in either: a. my '74 or b. Chase's Excursion, so I didn't waste my time finding a copy of the flyer... the plan was to come at the same time as the rest of the club.

To Cale (shaggs) fuck you bro. Seriously man if you had any of your facts straight, you would've probably realized that I told Brent we were like an hour away at 7:30. I didn't procrastinate; I had two nails in my foot and couldn't walk for the first 3 days of the last week leading up to the show and that is when I got behind my schedule. After an emergency room trip, you fuckass. The only thing we ever talked about in regards to timing, was the time Rock Bottom would be leaving Sequim (no later than 8 PM) and if you had cared to pay any attention to what was going on around you in the past few weeks, you might have not had anything to say on this post. I'm realizing that We aren't friends and that's only cuz I know you don't like me, but next time you got something to say, call me up or drive 10 minutes and get in my face. I'm a little bit surprised Russ said nothing to you about when I called him earlier... or Hezzy... or Brent... or Andrew... much earlier in the evening. I also called Shane and Chase and Underwood during the afternoon on the road... So don't make yourself look like an ass either here by saying I was reminded about the 10 a.m. registration deadline when neither you or anyone else said a word to me about it... hell, I said at the last meeting that I would ride with Chase if my truck couldn't make it, and Chase didn't even show up with his Excursion at all, and I didn't see you offering any kind of help at all during all of this....

lets set the record straight YOU knew what time the gates closed we pre-warned you plenty of times, but yet you still did not show up till close to midnight if not later on Sat. the guys at th gate were doing their job... Next you had nothing in the show grounds cause yet again you procrastinated until the last minute...

So please for your fellow club members sake knock it off..... you have NO ONE to blame but Yourself.....

Loved the Show, do every year its thrown rain or shine. Throwing a 3 day show is a load of work,heart and cash. Anyone with a beef about how a gate is run can kick rocks. When you do nothing but chill at a gate for 8, 9, 15 hours and cannot join the party you get a little tired and cranky. Magical throw a tight show, thank your mini truck gods that there are still a few clubs in the NW that believe in 3 day shows and nutting up to do it.
