houston area guys gotta question?

do any of you guys around here know of a good transmisson guys. the tranny outta the square leaks. its drove and shifted just fine but now that im cleanin it up and all i dont want any leaks. i dont know anyone personally around here and the few people i have talked to go right into the spill " oh you really ought rebuild it while its out its only xxxx amount" i tell them it shifted fine just leaked alittle "then i get the whole bring it to me and ill take a look at it? i dont know shit about trans and i know that if i just take it somewhere im gunna end up with a 900 bill.

is it leaking from the rear shaft output ? if so that sounds just like a seal on the rear

Are you sure it is coming from the transmission, and not your rear main seal on the engine? regardless, I have a friend of mine who is an awesome transmission mechanic and an engine mechanic as well. He works on stuff on the side, to make some extra cash. His dad owns a transmission shop, that is where he learned all his skills.
